i have a sense of impending doom. there is a week left and i am entirely at a loss. i know that by choosing something specific, i will nail myself into a box. so it has to be a general theme, from which i can branch out and do all sorts of interesting things that will somehow relate to each other. the question is, WHAT AM I TO DO? or what KIND of theme am i to do? i would like to do lots of little things - maybe some portraits, or drawings of objects or places...and give it some sort of meaning and coherence...

alice in wonderland

ok, here it is, finally finished. since i was transferring the drawing with graphite paper, moving her head was kind of disastrous, so i didn't. instead i lifted the ceiling. i suppose that's one way of interpreting "give her head a little more room." but anyway, everything else (except the color) is pretty much the same, and also i changed the hand that's on the carpet a little. daniel just said to bring it up to the level of the other one. and he also suggested i add the white rabbit only if i want to, but he might have seemed like an afterthought, so i just added his white gloves instead.

here is my sketch for dan's class. kenny, i am assuming you have heard about this assignment. i picked a fashion spread for tim burton's "alice" and i just sent this to daniel for his opinion, but what'd ya'll think? the dress is anna sui. i am going to add richer color and of course pattern to everything, and for the lace on the dress and tights, i would like to find some sort of cream-colored pen or something, because i don't want to use black. any ideas?

jesus, I just slept for fourteen hours straight.
okay so I made a couple of ideas for each of you to choose from

yelena - do a series of portraits of tea, create a book (or series) of all the people you've even found yourself infatuated with, design a book cover for p&p, draw an aviatrix, draw edward and bella (though it looks as if you guys have already gotten a jump start on this) and I want to see at least one urn in whatever you plan on doing.

becca - draw a very large detailed old house. Draw the land of ponies. Do a portrait of someone you hate. Write a short story about the beginning of the earth and illustrate it in only black and white. Draw the worst nightmare you've ever had.

kenny - someone pouring coffee (no, I was trying to be cheeky) illustrate one of rolh dauls short stories (extra points if it's the one with the dead swan) draw dolly parton or dita von teese. Draw peter o'tool in the woods eating wildflowers or illustrate the Jabberwocky

those vampires look great guys, it's all I can do to stomach reading twilight.
