senior thesis crisis

i have a sense of impending doom. there is a week left and i am entirely at a loss. i know that by choosing something specific, i will nail myself into a box. so it has to be a general theme, from which i can branch out and do all sorts of interesting things that will somehow relate to each other. the question is, WHAT AM I TO DO? or what KIND of theme am i to do? i would like to do lots of little things - maybe some portraits, or drawings of objects or places...and give it some sort of meaning and coherence...

A new thang I'm doing for shits and giggles...

I decided that I wanted to draw the fashions of women in national parks from 1959, all taken from a ridiculous national parks book I got at the book thing.  These are the first two of seven.

help with poem

hello,
i have to ilustrate a poem for one of deanna staffo's concept assignments, but i can't think of one that has a lot of "illustratable" imagery. and ideas, favorites that you have, or something you would like to see me do?
thanks,
y.

alice in wonderland

ok, here it is, finally finished.  since i was transferring the drawing with graphite paper, moving her head was kind of disastrous, so i didn't.  instead i lifted the ceiling.  i suppose that's one way of interpreting "give her head a little more room."  but anyway, everything else (except the color) is pretty much the same, and also i changed the hand that's on the carpet a little.  daniel just said to bring it up to the level of the other one.  and he also suggested i add the white rabbit only if i want to, but he might have seemed like an afterthought, so i just added his white gloves instead.
love, y.

sketch for "alice in wonderland"

here is my sketch for dan's class. kenny, i am assuming you have heard about this assignment. i picked a fashion spread for tim burton's "alice" and i just sent this to daniel for his opinion, but what'd ya'll think? the dress is anna sui. i am going to add richer color and of course pattern to everything, and for the lace on the dress and tights, i would like to find some sort of cream-colored pen or something, because i don't want to use black. any ideas?

the anna sui dress!

hahaha, so two months late is about the same as ten months early or something like that eh?
anyhow, I haven't been ignoring this place I swear

this is is my dashing young man with a penchant of existentialist literature (or I suppose objectivist)
it's this bastard I tried to engage conversation with once in a coffee shop because he was reading the fountainhead and I atlas shrugged, apparently he did have much to say about the place's pie and we left it at that and went our respected ways.

Pocahontas!!!

Did you know that Pocahontas was only 22 when she died?  It's true.
On to Claire's assignment!  If some one doesn't give me a new one, I'm going to start illustrating a Hindu epic called "The Ramayana".
I'm curious what you guys want to see me do, though, so give 'em to me!
